The terms for buying and using our one-off document packs

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Not legal advice. Our templates and our assistant give general information to help you run your business. They are not legal advice. For advice on your own situation, speak to a solicitor.

These terms apply when you buy from or use tutorcontracts.co.uk. Please read them, along with our refunds and cancellation policy and privacy policy.

2. What we sell

TutorContracts sells document templates for UK private tutors. There are two one-off document packs:

The documents in each pack are listed on our pricing section. Packs do not renew and there is no subscription.

3. Prices and payment

We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. The price shown is the total you pay. There are no hidden fees. Payment is taken by Stripe when you check out.

4. How the contract is formed

Before you pay, you tick a box asking for immediate access (see section 6). The contract is formed when Stripe confirms your payment. We then email you to confirm your order and how to sign in.

5. Access to your documents

Your documents are available in your account straight after payment. You fill them in online and save them as PDF; Pro also includes Word (.docx) download. Access to a pack does not expire. If we revise a document, the new version appears in your library at no extra cost. We may occasionally take the site offline for maintenance and will try to keep this short.

6. Your right to cancel

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. For digital content, that right ends once access starts, but only if you asked for immediate access and acknowledged that you would lose the right. We ask you to do this with a tick box before checkout and confirm it in your order email. If you have not opened or downloaded any document yet, we will still refund you if you ask within 14 days of purchase. Full details are in our refunds and cancellation policy, along with your rights if a document is faulty.

7. Client workspace

We are building an optional client workspace with a separate recurring price. It is not part of a document pack. If we offer it to you, we will show the price, how often you are billed and how to cancel before you subscribe. You will be able to cancel in your account at any time, with access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we will remind you before any annual renewal or before a free trial turns into a paid plan.

8. Your licence to use the templates

We own the templates. When you buy a pack, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use and adapt its templates for your own business, and to give completed documents to your own clients. You may not resell, share, publish or give away the templates themselves, or use them to make a competing product. One pack covers one practitioner.

9. Templates and the assistant are not legal advice

Our templates are a starting point written for general UK use. You are responsible for checking a document suits your situation before you use it, and for your own insurance, regulatory and data protection obligations. Pip, our assistant, gives general information and can make mistakes.

10. Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and do not share your account. We may suspend an account if we reasonably believe it is being used to copy or redistribute templates, or for fraud. If we do, we will tell you why. We will only withhold a refund where the law allows.

11. Our responsibility to you

If you buy as a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable.

Our packs are sold for use in your business. If you buy as a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, and our total liability to you for any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the law or our service changes. The terms in force when you bought a pack apply to that purchase. If we make a material change that affects something you have already bought, we will email you first.

13. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, email [email protected]. We aim to reply within 5 working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
